HERE'S MY STORY
FROM NURSING TO NAILS.
The Gypsy behind the Gelly is Chelsey, a Nashville-native living in Eugene, OR as a transplant.
Fully licensed Esthetician, Nail Technician, and Lash Artist.
Before cosmetology school I spent a few years as a nurse at prestigious medical college and teaching hospital in Tennessee. There, I came to the realisation that I no longer enjoyed being a nurse. I no longer wished to "be the self care" my patients would depend on me for. Instead I had a newfound understanding that I very much desired "being the person to help initiate self care". That came naturally through the art of beauty services.

It wasn’t long into my journey before I discovered nail art was actually a familiar medium (resin) in smaller increments hosted by human canvas before I became infatuated with blending my worlds of health care, chemistry, artistry and newly obtained cosmetic knowledge together.
I pride my practice on prioritizing and maintaining natural beauty and health above all.
Gone are the days of sacrificing our natural bodies and health for beauty enchantments. New nail products and technology on the market offer more flexible enhancement structures which are less likely to break or cause damage to the natural nail plate with out sacrificing the strength and rigidity of artificial nail enchantments. In addition there are revolutionary lash products that are safe enough for the most sensitive eyes yet strong enough to adhere and maintain lash extension retention with proper care.
I spent a year at the North West Beauty College in Springfield Oregon before I graduated in May of 2021. That year dedicated myself to cosmetic education to provide the most outstanding care to my current and future clients. During this time I also attended two different lash certification programs at Borboleta in Classic and Volume Lashing. In addition, I have plans to further my skillset with craftsmanship via one on one hand painted nail art classes in 2022 and much more.
Over all it wasn't the always the easiest path to travel down but I wouldn't change a single part of my journey. Today I am thankful to be alive and not only servicing but also connecting with so many women in my community.
My passion lies within gifting confidence to a woman as she reflects into her own mirror.
