Gelly Gypsy is proud to exclusively work in gel. This gives me the freedom to focus on natural nail health/ integrity and customised cuticle care when needed. I achieve this by using "soft gel" extensions called GELX. The first and biggest reason is for the lack of damage needed to create adhesion to the natural nail plate. The second most important reason to me as a nail tech became more obvious after I began to wear theses extensions for myself. Soft gels allow for more flexibility which mimics a natural nail more closely unlike a traditionally overly rigid acrylic nail. This means when trauma or pressure is applied to the  artificial nail there is more "give" with the soft gel than the acrylic structure. Because of the extra "give" there is less room for cracked/damaged nail enhancements and far less trauma is caused to the natural nail bed.  Gel X Nails may be filled once or twice (depending on how well you care for your nails) but need to be removed and replaced with a new set by your third visit back. This keeps your pretty paws healthy and happy. Because GelX is "softer" than acrylic it also makes DIY Home Removal much more attainable in comparison. GelX May be filed down at home to the clear surface of the nail extensions & then soaked in 100% PURE ACETONE (**NOT "NAIL POLISH REMOVER"**) for 20-30 min. Simply push the remianing jelly like substance off of your natural nail with a wooden or metal pusher to reveal your natural beauties underneeth.
